EARTH DAY!!!

Earth Day Celebration: thoughts
We are in the procees of warming up the Earth. Already, there is a piece of ice sheet that is the size of the state of Texas that broke off. Water frozen for a million years has melted. What ig the world was 1 degree warmer, you'd think 1 degree is only small, but it has enormous implications in agriculture. I learned this in the National geographic documentary "Six Degrees can Change the World". If you want to know more about the effects of global warming, then I suggest you watch this, and this.
Now you would ask what can we do to save the environment? Here's a tentative list:
1. Turn off all electrical devices and lights when it is not necessary.
2. Recycle and reuse paper, bottles, Be creative!
3. Use a bicycle when traveling short distance, if not, just walk. It's good for your health!
4. Downloads are a necessity. It cost much to ship DVD's and CD's by planes.
5. Be orderly in the things you do.
In Christianity, God has given humankind stewardship over the Earth. let us take care of it. Everyone of us is responsible to Him. We have only one World, and One life. Don't ever take for granted what He has given us.
The former U.S. VP Al Gore stated that the combined effort of people CAN make a difference in the world we live in! Take a lesson from the ants and the bees, they're social insects. I see the Human race as Leaf-cutter ants, or locusts. Leaf-cutter ants and locusts can strip huge swathes of rainforests in a matter of hours and eat up crops respectively. However, It seems that we've surpassed these ravenous ants. Well at least the ants give back to the rainforest. It is a well-known fact that revolutions start with the self and then gradually influences the society. If we can make the planet's natural processes go awry, we can sure minimize, if not stop it altogether.
With that said, I am going to leave you with a challenge.
Are you willing to change your simple habits for the benefit world?
Are you ready to change for the better?

An Evaluation of the Corporate Identity of DELL
When designing (or commissioning) a logo, practices to encourage are to:
1. avoid going overboard in attempting uniqueness
2. use few colors, limited colors, spot colors
3. avoid gradients (smooth color transitions) as a distinguishing feature
4. produce alternatives for different contexts
5. design using vector graphics, so the logo can be resized without loss of fidelity
6. be aware of design or trademark infringements
7. include guidelines on the position on a page and white space around the logo for consistent
8. application across a variety of media (a.k.a. brand standard manual)
9. not use a specific choice clip-art as a distinguishing feature
10. not use the face of a (living) person
11. not use photography or complex imagery as it reduces the instant recognition a logo demands
